Before succeeding Rep. Tony Melio as State Representative for the 141st district, I was in local official since 2006. Serving as a member of Bristol Township’s Council I was personally involved in many economic development projects; meeting with dozens of companies and urging them to locate to and stay in Lower Bucks County. Since taking office as a Representative of the state, I have done the same!
I aided in the creation of a Keystone Opportunity Zone on a major vacant property to attract new business. Also, I have worked with county, state and federal agencies to win grants and economic assistance for our community and implemented the only township funded program in Bucks County to aid homeowners who are facing foreclosure.
Graduating in 1983 from LaSalle University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Computer Science, I took a different course of action and worked as a real estate agent for many years throughout the County and Philadelphia. Still to date I am a small business owner and, along with my husband, Jim, we are raising three school-aged children. And lets’ not forget our newest addition to the family, Jo-Jo, our German Sheppard/Golden Lab mix.
In addition to serving as a State Representative and Bristol Township Council member, I have volunteered for many causes including: serving as a Big Sister, basketball coach, room mom, Girl Scout, American Cancer Society volunteer, and recently participated in the 3-day Susan G. Komen walk for the cure. Lastly, I am a Democratic Committee person of Croydon, Bristol Township.
